What is LemonMarkets Protocol?​

LemonMarkets is a decentralized protocol that enables perpification - the transformation of any asset with a price into a tradeable perpetual futures market. We provide instant, permissionless access to leveraged trading on crypto, stocks, NFTs, commodities, forex, bonds, and more.

What does "perpification" mean?​

Perpification is the process of creating a perpetual futures market for any asset. Instead of waiting for exchanges to list perpetual contracts, LemonMarkets allows anyone to perpify any asset instantly. If it has a reliable price feed, it can be perpified.

How is LemonMarkets different from other perp DEXs?​

Traditional perp DEXs only perpify a handful of major assets (usually 10-50 markets). LemonMarkets is a perpification engine that can perpify thousands of assets simultaneously through:

  • Virtual liquidity - No need for massive capital per market
  • Synthetic perpetuals - No tokenization required
  • Permissionless creation - Anyone can perpify new markets
  • Universal coverage - From memecoins to blue chip stocks

What assets can I trade on LemonMarkets?​

If it has a price, we can perpify it:

Getting Started​

How do I start trading?​

  1. Connect Wallet: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or WalletConnect
  2. Deposit USDC: Bridge or swap to get USDC
  3. Choose Market: Browse perpified assets or paste a contract address
  4. Set Position: Select leverage, margin, and direction
  5. Confirm: Execute trade and receive Position NFT

Do I need KYC?​

No! LemonMarkets is permissionless and decentralized. No KYC, no geographic restrictions, no account creation. Just connect your wallet and start perpifying.

What wallets are supported?​

Any Ethereum-compatible wallet:

  • MetaMask
  • Coinbase Wallet
  • WalletConnect (mobile wallets)
  • Ledger / Trezor hardware wallets
  • Rainbow, Trust Wallet, etc.

What networks/chains is LemonMarkets on?​

Currently deployed on:

  • Ethereum Mainnet (primary)
  • Base (low fees)
  • Arbitrum (L2 scaling)

More chains coming soon based on community governance.

How do I get USDC?​

You can get USDC through:

  • Centralized Exchanges: Coinbase, Binance, Kraken - buy and withdraw to your wallet
  • DEX Swaps: Uniswap, Curve - swap any token for USDC
  • Bridges: Bridge USDC from other chains to your target network
  • On-Ramps: MoonPay, Ramp - buy directly with fiat

Quick Trading FAQs​

What leverage can I use?​

1x to 100x leverage on any perpified asset. Higher leverage = higher potential profits but faster liquidation.

What fees do I pay?​

  • Opening Fee: Small percentage when opening
  • Closing Fee: Small percentage when closing
  • Funding Rate: Periodic payment between longs/shorts

What are the profit caps?​

Profits are capped at the lower of:

  • 5% of total market liquidity
  • 10% of collateral pool

This ensures protocol stability and prevents liquidity drainage.

What is liquidation?​

Automatic position closure when losses approach your margin. With 100x leverage, a 1% price move against you can trigger liquidation. Lower leverage = more safety.
